 Mary Theri Thomas has been everything from a corporate trainer to a martial arts national competition competitor and coach. She currently is the owner and manager of the Aquatic Bodywork Center and has been a practitioner and instructor in the areas of massage, martial arts, yoga, Nia, fitness, core awareness, nutrition, hypnotherapy and holistic health over the past 29 years, 20 of which have been in San Diego. She has trained with Alexander, the creator of Healing Dance, Harold Dull, the originator of Watsu, with Jahara the creator of the Jahara technique, as well as with and with Peggy Schoedinger P.T. the originator of Adaptive Watsu. Mary Theri is a certified instructor of the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association (WABA) for Watsu, Healing Dance, is the lead Instructor for the WABA Assistant and Instructor Training Programs and has hosted over 90 classes of 50 hours including every level of all 4 styles of Aquatic Bodywork over the past five and a half years here in San Diego. Mary Theri also travels extensively Building Aquatic Bodywork programs in Spas such as The Bilagio, The Golden Door, and Amilia Island Plantation to mention a few and Rehabilitation pools such as Mills Hospital in San Mateo, CA. Mary Theri is also on the Board of Directors of WABA and the Education Standards Advisory Committee Chair. Mary Theri loves the detective work to find exactly the right approach or point of reference for each and every student to be able to leave satisfied and knowing they got even more than what they originally came to the training for.
