Lilia is a native of Milan, Italy, where she attended six years of Medical School and with a Master's in Journalism became a journalist specialized in health and women's issues.
Besides 2500 hours of aquatic bodywork courses, she has studied several healing arts; she is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi and Cranial-Sacral, a Reiki master, a breathwork professional.
She has created Dolphin Dance, a multifaceted aquatic and sub-aquatic exploration, proposed in its multiple expressions as a bodywork modality in warm water including passive, interactive and alternative sessions, a series of intensive workshops teaching its healing form and principles, a movement-based group experience with underwater music, and an innovative tool for aquatic dancers and for clients who are afraid of water (see www.aquaticdance.com).
Her experience in the performing arts spans three decades and includes being a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher since the age of 16. Ballet, modern dance, mime, acrobatics, contact improv, creative and authentic movement, butoh, low-flying trapeze, partner yoga, meditation, body building, Biodanza, poetry and ecstatic dance have been her disciplines, her passion and her work.
She is a producer and director of multimedia performances for theater and television. She has lived in Italy, Mexico, New Mexico, Colorado, California, Costa Rica, and Hawai’i while performing, teaching, modeling, writing, translating and doing healing work.
She is now principal massage therapist at Kalani Oceanside Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she teaches and organizes, while practicing.
