Additional Explanation:

  • You need to complete one of the pre-requisites, such as the Introduction to Healing Dance or Watsu I before studying Healing Dance I.

  • It is not necessary to be a Watsu Practitioner to begin or complete Healing Dance Certification.

  • This is the "surface" certification, in which none of the three underwater trainings of Healing Dance are involved. Healing Dance Subaquatic Practitioner Certification is separate and to be found in the second part of this logbook.

  • It is recommended that students complete 10 sessions between each course, but this must not be strictly adhered to. It is the final total that must be met: 20 sessions given and 10 sessions received (at least 2 from a Practitioner).

  • It should be possible to complete steps 1-6 within 2 to 2 1/2 years.

  • Passing on to the next stage of the training track is dependent on a successful outcome of the previous stage. You may be asked to audit a course, do a supervision or do extra sessions if the instructor feels it is necessary before continuing.

  • Before certification is completed, students may of course use the techniques in sessions, but not say or advertise that they do sessions of Healing Dance. For instance, it would be quite okay to say, "I am studying Healing Dance." "I am on my way toward becoming a Practitioner of Healing Dance." "I use techniques of Healing Dance in my sessions."

  • Practitioner status gives you a certificate, a free listing on the Healing Dance website, the right to use the logo and to say and advertise that you practice Healing Dance. For instance, "I am a Healing Dance Practitioner." "I give sessions of Healing Dance."

  • A one-time fee of $50.00 gives you a permanent listing on the WABR Registry and a certificate from WABA.

  • We recommend strongly to continue attending Healing Dance trainings after becoming a Practitioner in order to keep your skills honed, receive fine-tunings and catch any bad habits arising over time.

  • You may study Healing Dance wherever you wish, but to work as a Practitioner or Subaquatic Practitioner we ask you to follow the guidelines established in the country in which you live. At most, this means logging in a few extra hours of training and sessions should you move to a country with a more rigorous program than the one in which you qualified.
